Unlike Facebook, a huge following on Instagram can easily turn into huge number of leads. I’ve seen a number of IG users sell online courses on Instagram by growing their accounts to around 5k to 10k followers. Also, unlike Facebook and YouTube, IG posts are shown chronologically to almost all followers when you put up a post. Facebook and YouTube are notorious for limiting the number of people your posts reach. This is why when you got like 100k subscribers on YouTube that almost means nothing as their algorithm will show your video to a handful of subscribers which is pretty annoying.
I used to despise IG until I saw the so-called Instagram influencers which have the power to make their followers buy stuff from them. Some are simply good at growing IG accounts and not very good in business. This is why you can pay them to put up a sponsored post advertising your business.
The one thing I dislike with IG influences is that they are fond of buying followers who could be bots and not real human beings. If you sponsor a post with these types of influencers you could potentially be advertising to bots.
So growing your own Instagram account makes sense and I’ve taken a bold step to do so. Right now I’m at around 240 so in a few weeks i’mma be at 1K
